Symmetrys are the structural and civil engineers for this £20m residential development in Clifton, Bristol.
Situated on the site of a Victorian hospital beside the local landmark of the Cabot tower, the site slopes steeply and is bounded by 10m high retaining walls down to surrounding properties.
The new building will adopt a basement car park located to suit the site topography then two six storey towers over a communal ground floor. A reinforced concrete podium is expected to support a proprietary frame for the upper floors for its cost and programme benefits. Site works are due to commence in late autumn 2016.
