The Works

This job included the complex conversion of a nightclub into a Bank in a shopping centre in central Middleborough.

As well as challenges of High-Alumina Cement (HAC) Concrete found within the structure, works included the creation of new openings for the banks facade and the creation of new floor voids to accommodate new staircases.  We increased the floor capacity to accommodate the weights of safes, in filled existing stairs and floor voids and refurbished part of the basement in order to house a new substation.  The basement had previous high water tables causing constant flooding so new sumps and tanking systems had to be installed.
