Meet The Team

Matteo graduated from the University of Bath with an MEng in Civil Engineering. He is the founder and head of the Symmetrys sustainability team, where he excels in showing his passion for using efficient structural design to deliver environmentally driven and socially responsible projects. Matteo has a keen interest in sustainability, particularly utilising timber as a structural material and is working towards chartership with the IStructE. Outside of Symmetrys, Matteo enjoys football, cycling and looking after his small forest of plants.

Matteo is an Associate Lecturer at the Architectural Association on the Environmental Technical Design course, helping Architectural students to learn about sustainable structural design practices and hoping to provide the tools necessary to assist the Architects in shaping the conversation around sustainability on projects that they will be involved in, in the near future.

Matteo also works as a Technical Tutor at the University of Arts London on the Architecture course, providing technical advice during tutorials and crits to help students develop an understanding of structural design and sustainability.
