The creation of a new three storey structure within the Castle Mall in Norwich, offering new retail floors.
The new infill structures were installed within an existing void with tight site access. The existing concrete framed structure had limited capacity for increased loads which resulted in the installation of new hydraulic jacks to transfer the increased loads back to new steel transfer structures at the lower levels.
