This project, 5 Elstree Way in Borehamwood Elstree is the refurbishment of six single storey industrial building for multiply commercial uses. The building has been occupied over its lifespan with offices, photography studios and more recently film studios.

Detailed Analysis to Upgrade The Building Fabric
The works included the installation of new apertures, but generally, the main works were the upgrade of the fabric to enhance and maximise the thermal performance of the buildings. We were therefore set the task of ensuring the existing structure had sufficient capacity to take the new loads and accommodate larger openings on the façades. Much detail was given to the investigation of the existing structural fabric of the buildings in order for us to carry out detailed analysis of the existing sub-structure and super-structure.
