A substantial residential refurbishment situated in the heart of Chelsea. This project included the design of a complex rear extension and basement; plus internal alterations to the lower ground floor and upper ground floor levels.
Careful consideration had to be given to the design of the perimeter underpins, retaining wall and the raft basement slab in order to prevent settlement of the structure within the challenging ground conditions.
Works included all the underpins, contiguous piles and basement slab. Suspended concrete slabs were installed, as well as the steel frames to the rear extensions.
