Medicinal Cannabis Factory
Here’s an exciting project to add to our portfolio: a purpose-built medicinal cannabis production facility and headquarters for GLO (Grow Lab Organics) on the Isle of Man. This will be the first building of its kind anywhere in the UK, following the relaxation of laws surrounding medicinal cannabis.
The highly complex internal process requirements will define the building’s footprint and height. Most of the facility will need to function as a dark space, with mechanical and electrical systems providing a controlled internal environment for optimum growing conditions. The structure must be carefully coordinated with this in mind.
The civil engineering works will include a robust below-ground drainage system that captures runoff and conveys it into a rainwater harvesting tank, providing a sustainable irrigation supply.
