This tight site required clever innovative engineering to conceal the new structure that was required in order to remove walls and floor plates and required to create a new basement and a new rear extension. Through careful analyse we were able to provide shallower members that could easily be concealed such that you wouldn’t know they were there.
This un-noticed design brings the client and architects vision of “open plan living” to life and totally transform this terrace house.
Symmetrys developed both the structural and civil engineering design from the early planning stages that included a Basement Impact Assessment.
