The Works
Hurst Avenue is locally listed 1920’s detached house in the Crouch End Conservation Area in Haringey.
The brief was to create a new bright open planned family house with greater connections between inside and out. Because the property is locally listed the front façade was retained and the remainder of the existing house was dismantled and re-built. Existing bricks were carefully removed, restored, and then reused in the new build. The back of new property now allows easy access to the steep rear garden.
Symmetrys were employed to carry out both the civil and structural engineering.
