The brief was to create a bright, open-plan family home with enhanced connections between the interior and exterior. As the property is locally listed, the front façade was retained, while the remainder of the house was dismantled and rebuilt. Existing bricks were carefully removed, restored, and reused in the new construction. The back of the property now allows easy access to the steep rear garden.
Symmetrys was employed to carry out both the civil and structural engineering.
