The Project That Had The Lot
For such a small project, Rhodeswell Road had the lot, it was like an Institution of Structural Engineers Chartership exam questions.
Rhodeswell Road in situated on the banks of Regents Canal, adjacent to the Docklands Light Railway Line on one side and the Elizabeth Line on the other, and if that wasn’t enough throw in the Historic Chimney vent to one side.
The project was the construction of a new two double bedroom semi-detached house l. Architecturally designed to reflect the industrial history of the surrounding environment using materials in keeping with the urban area, the integrity of the design is matched by it’s environmental ethos with zero carbon air source heat pump heating. Symmetrys where employed to carry out both the structural and civil engineering.
