The Works

The original ground floor was about 2m above the garden and there was a large under croft space, which was just used as a storage space.

The works included the installation of a new lower ground floor which added a whole new floor to the property. At the rear a double height space was created by removing a section of the ground floor which in turn opened the property to the garden with the aid of a large frameless glass box.

Internally Symmetrys designed a curved fair faced concrete staircase and new light well were created above the stairwell.  The property was also refurbished throughout and an internal Juliet balcony was installed to the light well – which allows you to look down through three floors. On the top floor we opened up the ceiling to the underside of the hipped roof to give a great feeling of space.
