The Works

Symmetrys was both the structural and civil engineers for this £20m residential development in Clifton, Bristol. Situated on the site of a Victorian hospital beside the local landmark of the Cabot Tower, the site slopes steeply and is bounded by 10m high retaining walls down to surrounding properties.

The new building adopts a basement car park located to suit the site topography, then two six storey towers over a communal ground floor. A reinforced concrete podium supports a proprietary frame for the upper floors, chosen for its cost and programme benefits.
