This is the new second site in central London for the Urdang Dance and Musical Theatre Academy, located on two floors of a new commercial premises in Islington, London.
The existing building required careful justification for the new floor loadings and the dynamic effects of the dance studios together with new staircases, lifts, new light wells and infilling existing floor voids.
Sensitive structural design was required to help achieve the architectural intent within the restrictions of the existing building.
