COVID-19 Update: Business as usual
March 2020
A note for our clients and partners,
We wanted to provide an update on some of the contingency plans Symmetrys has put in place to enable the continuation of our services during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the guidance given by the Government to work from home where possible, we have shifted to working from a virtual office with the majority of our team working remotely. With the use of technology, we have adapted our working approach to enable our staff to continue their daily work without disruption. All staff have been provided with a secure laptop giving remote access to their own office PC, and the office phone number has been redirected to mobile numbers, so please continue to use the main line as usual. This is infrastructure that we already had in place so it is very much business as usual for us.
For now, we’re also limiting face-to-face meetings and encouraging the use of video and conference calls via Skype or Zoom, plus Revit and pdf views to ensure project collaboration continues.
Any staff displaying COVID-19 symptoms have been advised to immediately self-isolate, and we will monitor their condition. Where possible, we’ll make those that have had contact aware of the situation.
With these changes now in place, we are working as near to normal as possible to reduce disruption and we all continue to work hard to deliver a service we would want to buy.
We will keep you updated if there are any changes in the days and weeks ahead.
