The existing walls at the lower ground floor level will be reduced, and the perimeter walls will be underpinned. The new concrete frames will contain many transfer structures to accommodate our client’s desire for column-free room layouts. Structures such as shear walls and columns will be exposed in some areas, and columns in the car parks have been designed to accommodate vehicle impact loads. The new concrete frame will also contain many new cantilever structures, not just for the balconies and roofs, but also for the surrounding structures of the vaulted trussed roof.
